General Motors engineered the TurboMax engine for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 and 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. When approaching the redline, this turbocharged powertrain spits out 310 horsepower. When spinning at roughly half the redline limit, the all-new engine pumps out 430 pound-feet of torque. Both light-duty pickup trucks harness 355 hp from the 5.3-L EcoTec3 engine. Utilizing natural aspiration instead of forced induction, this V-8 powerhouse dishes out 383 lb-ft of torque. Both vehicles get 420 hp from the 6.2-L EcoTec3 powertrain. Adapting to driving conditions with assistance from Dynamic Fuel Management, this huge powerhouse twists out 460 lb-ft. GM also offers the updated 3.0-L Duramax engine for both light-duty trucks. This turbocharged, diesel-burning engine cranks out a maximum of 495 lb-ft. Such a legendary turbo engine allows each vehicle to tow a total of 13,300 pounds. You’ll find other superior mechanical components on both full-size trucks, such as the AutoTrac transfer case and an automatic-locking differential. Recently developed by GM, the unique Multimatic DSSV Dampers are available for both models. Carrying the Rancho logo, monotube shock absorbers are optional on the Chevy trim. Additionally, both trucks may be enhanced with a unique suspension that provides a 2-inch lift.
